Itteki Basel Annual Report 2007

The year was marked with the installation of a new heating system in our house and the preparation of the June Osesshin with Shodo Harada Roshi.
The Sesshin took place as usual in Villeret from June 21st in the evening till June 29th. There were 46 participants.
We could welcome Bodhi from India as special guest. He had come to Europe to find sponsoring for his numerous projects in India.

January

Esho and Jigen participated in the Osesshin in Hokuozan Sogenji.

March 22nd to 25th

Weekend Sesshin in One Drop Zendo Basel with Esho, Shinden and Ivana.

May 31st - June 3rd

Weekend Sesshin in One Drop Zendo Basel with Esho, Shinden and Jigen.

October 25th - 28th

Weekend Sesshin with Esho.

December 4th - 9th

Rohatsu Mini Sesshin with Esho, Shinden, Jigen and Gabi Schuler.

Itteki Basel Annual Report 2006

Jan 6th to Jan 15th

A group of Tibetan monks from India puts up at our premises. They have come to Switzerland to raise money for the construction of a new building in their monastery complex in Mungod, India. The building is to serve new refugee monks continually escaping from Tibet. The group creates a mandala at the Radio Studio Basel, the radio reports on its progress and people come to the studio to watch and donate money. A considerable amount is raised thanks to the public and the radio emploeees. Itteki Basel offers some donation, too, and takes care of the monks throughout their stay in Basel.

Jan 17th to Jan 24th

Sesshin with Shodo Harada Roshi in Hokuozan Sogenji. The opening and consecration of Hokuozan Sogenji.

Feb 23rd evening to Feb 26th morning.

April 27th evening to April 30th morning

Kunitomi-san and the zazenkai group visit Basel. Jigen receives them and takes care of them

European Sesshin in Denmark

Werner and Evelin visit Basel. They bring along the 10 tanbutons that Shoe ordered for Itteki Basel
